HAMILTON, N.Y. – Cornell men's golf closed with its best round of the week Sunday, shooting 292 (+4) in the final round of the 10th Alex Lagowitz Memorial to climb from 12th into a tie for ninth at Seven Oaks Golf Club.

Tyler Debusschere carded the low round for the Big Red, firing an even-par 72 that included Cornell's steadiest ball-striking of the week. He finished tied for 27th overall at 219 (+3), matching teammate Shep Davis, who shot 74 in the finale after opening the tournament with a 69.

Adi Venkataraghavan added a 73 in the final round to finish tied for 35th at 220 (+4), while Toby Gu closed with a 73 of his own — his best round of the tournament — to finish at 233 (+17). TJ Betlow shot 74 in the final round and finished tied for 56th at 225 (+9).

Playing as an individual, Javi Benerofe shot 74 in the final round to finish at 223 (+7), tying for 47th.

Cornell's 292 tied Villanova for the seventh-best team score of the final round, part of a push that moved the Big Red up three spots in the standings from where they sat through 36 holes.

Seton Hall won the team title at 853 (278-286-289), finishing 11 strokes clear of runner-up Saint Joseph's (PA) at 863. Host Colgate and Holy Cross (MA) tied for third at 866, followed by Bucknell (868), Penn (873), Villanova (874) and St. Bonaventure (877). Cornell and Canisius tied for ninth at 882.

Bucknell's Charlie Barrickman earned medalist honors at 209 (-7), closing with a 69, while Seton Hall's Will Hennessee finished as the individual runner-up at 211 (-5).
