At Cornell: A two-time All-Ivy selection and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America selection, Siwula returns for a fifth year already one of the most productive running backs in Cornell history. An excellent zone runner who is most effective going north-south, he picks up hard yards and rarely is brought down by one tackler. He has excellent hands as a receiver and has a knack for finding the end zone. Siwula enters his final season fifth on the school’s career rushing list (2,195 yards) and sixth on the career touchdowns list (22). Siwula played in three games in 2007 before missing the rest of the year with an injury. Despite his shortened season, Siwula still led the team in touchdowns (6) and ranked second in rushing (217) while averaging 4.6 yards per carry. He had three touchdowns in wins over Bucknell and Georgetown. Siwula was a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American and a second-team All-Ivy pick as a junior in 2006. He piled up 885 yards and four touchdowns on the ground and caught 11 passes for 141 yards and two more scores. He had three 100-yard games, including two contests of more than 140 yards, to move into sixth on Cornell’s career rushing list with 1,978 yards. Siwula exploded onto the scene in 2005, earning first-team All-Ivy honors as a sophomore. He posted six 100-yard games in 2005, while his 1,086 yards ranks 10th all-time in a season at Cornell and he had more rushing yards by himself than the entire 2004 Big Red team. Siwula also scored 10 touchdowns (eight rushing, two receiving) and took care of business in the classroom, being voted to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District team. He also caught 18 passes for 175 yards. Among his 100 yard games, Siwula ran for 165 yards and a score against NCAA Division I-AA postseason qualifier Colgate, and 162 yards and a touchdown against Ivy League champ Brown. His 108.6 ypg. ranked third in the Ivy League and 21st nationally, and he joined all-time great Ed Marinaro as the only other Cornell player to post at least 100 yards rushing in each of their first three collegiate varsity starts. A gifted athlete who possesses the ability to run, catch and block, Siwula continued to play on special teams despite his role on the offense and made two tackles and recovered a fumble. He saw action in the final six contests of 2004, registering three special teams tackles and rushing three times for seven yards. Siwula is enrolled in Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Siwula received a national scholar-athlete scholarship after lettering in five different sports and was a two-time all-league pick in lacrosse.
