Biography
At Cornell
Cronheim has competed in all 25 competitions since arriving at Cornell, with 10 individual top-10 finishes, including a pair of top-three efforts. As a junior, Cronheim had a team-best 75.17 round average for the nine tournaments with a season-low 69 in the second round at the Ivy League championships. He placed third in the rain-shortened Cornell Invitational. As a sophomore in 2007-08, Cronheim had a career-best 74.05 per round average with five of his 19 rounds at or below par. He was second at the Leo Keenan Invitational at St. Bonaventure and was fourth at both the Princeton and Delaware Invitationals. Cronheim carded a career-low 68 in the final round at St. Bonaventure. He emerged as a regular in the lineup during his freshman season, playing in all eight events for a total of 17 rounds and averaged 77.24 per round. He tied for ninth at the Towson Intercollegiate after shooting consecutive rounds of 74 and 72.
At The Pingry School
A two-time all-state selection at The Pingry School, Cronheim was the Courier News Player of the Year in 2004. He was a four-time all-prep pick and a four-year letter winner who served as team captain during her senior year.
Personal
Robert Edward Cronheim is the son of Daniel and Mary Anne Cronheim and has an older brother, David, who is a 2007 Cornell graduate. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
