At Cornell
Cerretani made 15 starts during his junior season, posting a 1.67 goals-against average and a .698 save percentage on the year. He posted a pair of shutouts on the season, opening the year with a 2-0 victory over Kentucky in the University of Kentucky Nike Soccer Classic, then recording a shutout over Vermont at Berman Field. He made a season-high 10 saves on Oct. 23 in the Big Red's loss at Penn State. Cerretani emerged as Cornell’s top goalkeeper as a sophomore, posting a 0.86 goals against average and an .810 save percentage. He was named honorable mention All-Ivy League for his play, picking up four shutouts on the year. Cerretani claimed the starting job on Sept. 10 against New Hampshire and held on for the duration of the campaign, making a season-high nine saves in the tie at Boston University.

At Dryden
Cerretani was a two-time letter winner at Dryden HS playing goalkeeper and back. In 2003, his team was the IAC and Division I champion and won the sectional and Division I championship in 2004. Playing for TC United, he played in the State Cup tournament in 2003 and 2005. He also won two letters playing the outfield for Dryden’s baseball team.

Personal
Luca Dan Cerretani is the son of Daniel and Susan Cerretani and has one older brother and one younger brother. His older brother Colin is a 2007 Cornell graduate. Luca is enrolled in Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration.
