Biography

At Cornell
Guindon made a pair of appearances as a junior, entering the 4-1 victory over IUPUI on Sept. 2 as a reserve. He also made a reserve appearance five days later in the win over Albany, recording a shot on goal. Guindon appeared in five games as a sophomore, earning four starts. He made the first start of his career on Sept. 3 against Hartford, and made his Ivy League debut off the bench on Sept. 30 against Penn. He appeared in one game as a freshman in 2005, seeing action in the loss to Penn State on Oct. 19.

At Exeter Area
Guindon won three letters and was a three-year starter at Exeter Area HS, playing center midfield. Exeter won back-to-back Division 1 titles in 2003 and 2004 with Guindon serving as co-captain during the latter. He was named to the Lion’s Cup all-star team and was second-team all-state. Guindon also was part of the 2004 regional Super-Y ODP pool.

Personal
Marcelo Martin Guindon is the son of Carlos and Lidieth Guindon. He has a younger brother and is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell.
