At Cornell
Franco saw a significant increase in playing time during her sophomore season, starting 16 games for the Big Red. She aided a Cornell defense that allowed opponents less than 11 shots per game and ranked third in the Ivy League with four shutouts in 2007. A skilled player that makes good decisions and is comfortable with the ball, she is a solid low, flat tackler, and is good with the ball in tight spaces. Franco saw action in five games in the midfield during her rookie campaign.

At Central Bucks East HS
Franco earned four varsity letters at Central Bucks East HS where she was a standout at the midfield position. A very skilled, experienced and competitive player who has the ability to see time at the midfield or backfield, she served as team captain during her senior season and earned second-team all-state honors that year. Franco was also a three-time all-league selection, while earning Suburban One All-Star honors as a senior. She helped her school team to a PIAA state championship in 2002, and has been a part of a 2003 National Indoor Championship team, a 2004 National Festival championship team and a 2005 National Futures Tournament championship team. Franco also earned four varsity letters in lacrosse, garnering 2005 Scholastic all-america honors. She was a three-time All-League selection in lacrosse and was named team MVP in both 2004 and 2005.

Personal
Carolyn Elizabeth Franco is the daughter of Barry and Mary Franco and she has two older brothers, Brian and Christopher. Her brother Christopher is an officer in the Marine Corps. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
