Biography
At Cornell
As a junior, Cagwin rode in eight shows for the Big Red. Competing primarily in the Intermediate Fences and Flat classes, her first place finish at the Cornell Show on Feb. 22 qualified her for the regional championships in Intermediate Fences. Cagwin's success continued at regionals where a third place finish qualified her for the Zone II championships where she finished in the top 12. At the Ivy League championships Cagwin made her first appearance in the difficult Open Fences class, finishing second in her section and advancing to the championship phase. Another strong ride earned her a second place finish and the title of Ivy reserve individual champion. Cagwin started her rookie year off with an impressive showing at Hartwick, earning a first place finish in the intermediate over fences class and a third place finish in intermediate flat despite a tough horse. Cagwin continued to be a strong contributor to the Big Red finishing in the top three seven more times and earning the title of Reserve High Point Rider at the Cornell Fall Horse Show. Cagwin closed her season with an impressive ride at the Ivy League championships where she was named the reserve champion in the intermediate flat class.

Brooke Karen Cagwin is the daughter of Lee and Jane Cagwin, She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
