Biography
At Cornell
Despite being on the injured reserve for several shows, Lavo had a solid second season with the Big Red riding in the Walk-Trot-Canter class. Her third place finish at Skidmore on Feb. 28 earned her enough points to qualify for the Regional Championships. A strong ride at regionals earned her a second place finish and a spot at the Zone II Championships where she finished seventh overall. At the Ivy League Championship, Lavo competed in the Novice Flat class for the first time, finishing first in her section and 5th in the championship round. Lavo made a solid showing her rookie year, starting her collegiate career with a first place finish in advance walk-trot-canter at Morrisville, her first IHSA show. She continued the season riding to a second place finish at Skidmore and earning a blue ribbon at the Cornell Winter Show. Lavo closed her year with a win, taking first in the walk-trot-canter championship class at the Ivy League championships.
Prior to Cornell
Lavo brings eight years of equestrian riding and training experience to the Big Red team. At Union-Endicott HS, she was the secretary of the National Honor Society and a Suma Cum Laude Diploma recipient.
