Biography
At Cornell:
Cornett has been a top starter since her freshman year. Last year after a semester abroad in Switzerland, she worked her way back up to the top half of the ladder. She received a sportsmanship award from her teammates and an award for Match of the Season for her win against Williams during regular season play. Cornett played in the Holleran Cup at the CSA individual championships, and ended her season with a 10-3 record and a CSA individual ranking of 49.
As a freshman, Cornett played in the No. 2 spot and had the best team record of 8-6. She had a successful CSA Individual Championship where she won the consolation Holleran division. Cornett had a CSA end of year ranking of No. 50. She has an individual goal to make the top draw of the CSA Individual Championships by her senior year.
Personal:
Janet Alexandra Lardner Cornett is the daughter of Jack Cornett and Ms. Janice Lardner. Her younger sister is a junior squash player. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
