2007-08: Arnone returned from injury to wrestle for Cornell at 184 pounds. He compiled a 6-1 dual record, and earned second-team All-Ivy honors. Arnone pinned his first two opponents before medical forfeiting to sixth place at the EIWA Tournament. After pinning Franklin & Marshall’s Daniel Canfield in 2:56 and Columbia’s Kenji Porter in 2:23, Arnone won the EIWA’s Sheridan Award for recording the most falls in the least amount of time in the championship bracket of the tournament.

2006-07: Arnone opened the season at the UB Open and won the title at 184 pounds with three victories. He was sidelined for a majority of the winter due to illness. In his second dual match of the season, Arnone upset Penn’s No. 13-ranked Lior Zamir, pinning him in 4:59 to help the Big Red secure its fifth-straight Ivy title. Arnone entered the EIWA tournament a No. 6 seed, and met Columbia’s Justin Barent in the first round. Arnone avenged a dual match loss to Barent by scoring a 12-1 major decision when it counted the most. Harvard’s Louis Caputo defeated Arnone in the quarterfinals, 4-2, but Arnone wrestled his way back to the third-place match with a victory over Zamir for the second time. To capture third, and an automatic bid to nationals, Arnone won a 5-1 decision over Lehigh’s David Craig. At the NCAA tournament, Arnone upset the No. 3 seed, Mike Pucillo (Ohio State), 3-1, to advance to the quarterfinals where he lost to the No. 6 seed, Jake Varner (Iowa State). In the wrestlebacks, Arnone pinned Indiana’s Marc Bennett to secure his first All-America honor.
