Biography

At Cornell
2009-10: Dale did not see varsity action at 184 pounds.

2008-09: Dale notched an 11-9 record in his second season with the Big Red. He opened the fall going 4-2 at the Binghamton Open at 184 pounds. Dale won by fall in two matches during the year and added a win by major decision. He also competed for Cornell at the Body Bar Invitational and Penn State Invitational.

2007-08: In his rookie season, Dale compiled a 6-5 record. He wrestled for Cornell at the Brute Binghamton Open and Body Bar Invitational at 184 pounds. Dale notched his first collegiate win by fall against Dave Gualtieri of Drexel, pinning him in 3:30. With a 2-1 record in the “B” bracket, Dale placed second at the New York State Championships.

Prior to Cornell
Dale lettered in wrestling at McCutcheon HS all four years. He was a two-time team captain, and was twice named to Team Indiana. In 2006, Dale was the Indiana state runner-up at 189 pounds. He was a outside linebacker in football earning two letters, and was also a recipient of the mental attitude award. Dale was part of his high school Academic Wall of Fame, and was also a 10 year 4-H member.
 
Personal
Travis Frederick Dale is the son of John and Kathy Dale, and he has an older sister and two younger brothers. His sister, Katie, swims and runs track at Wooster. Dale is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
