At Cornell
2007-08:
In his junior season, Leen captained the Big Red squad and led the team to a ninth place finish at the NCAA tournament, where he won the title at 157 pounds. Leen upset three ranked wrestlers en route to his first place finish. In his opening bout, he defeated returning All-American Ryan Hluschak of Drexel, 4-3, and followed with a 4-1 decision over Maryland’s Brian Letters. In the quarterfinals, Leen defeated the No. 1 seed, Gregor Gillespie of Edinboro, 8-6, before advancing to the finals with a 9-2 victory over No. 12 Josh Zupancic of Stanford. Leen, the lowest seeded wrestler in the finals, won the title with a 5-4 win over No. 2 Mike Poeta of Illinois. The junior became just the second collegiate wrestler from Tennessee to ever win a NCAA championship. Leen was also named the EIWA Wrestler of the Year. Leen registered a 3-1 mark at the EIWA tournament to place second and qualify for his third NCAA tournament. He continued his perfect record against Ivy competition over his career (14-0) to earn his third first-team All-Ivy honor. Leen captained the Big Red to its sixth-straight Ivy League title this season. He opened his junior campaign by placing second at the Brute Binghamton Open and followed by winning the title at the Body Bar Invitational. Leen also placed first at the Reno Tournament of Champions. In dual matches this season, he had a 7-1 record. With eight major decisions, he has the second most on the team. Leen has 89 career victories, which ties him for 17th on the Big Red all-time wins list.

2006-07:
The No. 1 seed at the EIWA tournament, he recorded four wins, including two by major decision, en route to taking the title at 149 pounds to qualify for his second NCAA championships. At the NCAA tournament, Leen placed eighth to earn his first All-American honors. He opened the season placing first at both the UB Open and Body Bar Invitational. At the Las Vegas Invitational, Leen went 5-2 placing fourth and took second at the Southern Scuffle. Leen led the Big Red in wins last season with 37. He continued his perfect run against Ivy competition over his career (10-0). After missing the 2005-06 season, he earned his second first-team honor of his career. Wrestling in all but one dual match last season, he led the team in points with 50 and a 12-1 dual record. Leen also was the team leader in major decisions (8).

(2005-06): Did not compete.

(2004-05): Leen burst on to the scene as a rookie, posting a 25-16 overall mark while earning a third-place finish at the EIWA tournament and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Leen was particularly effective against Ivy League opponents, as he went 5-0 against Ancient Eight wrestlers. He kicked off his career by going 4-1 for a third-place finish at the Empire Open. He won two of his dual meet bouts in overtime and one by a score of 1-0, proving he can pull out the tough victory. The No. 5 seed at the EIWA tournament, Leen fell to Patrick Simpson (Army) in his first match, but won his next three, putting him in the third-place match, where he beat Anthony Constantino of Columbia. His third-place finish earned him an automatic spot in the NCAA tournament.

Prior to Cornell
Leen, considered the top senior wrestler in Tennessee by InterMat in 2003-04, was a four-time state champion at Baylor School and is coming off a first-place finish at the NHSCA Seniors National Wrestling Championships in the 130-pound bracket. For his efforts at the nationals, he was featured in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd." The all-time winningest wrestler in Tennessee history (214 victories), Leen helped Baylor capture three state titles and a pair of state dual championships.

Personal
Jordan Mark Leen is the son of Mark and Tammy Leen, and he is studying Nutritional Science (pre-med) in Cornell's College of Human Ecology. He has two older sisters.
