At Cornell
2010-11:
In his first year as a full time starter, Perrelli won the EIWA championship at 125 pounds, while compiling a 31-13 overall record.  He began the season with a fourth place showing at the Binghamton Open before taking second at the Body Bar Invitational a week later. Perrelli then placed fifth at two of the nation’s toughest in season tournaments—the Las Vegas Invitational and the Southern Scuffle. At the Scuffle, Perrelli picked up important points for the Big Red in a tight team race with Penn State by defeating both of the Nittany Lion 125 pounders, including a 12-4 major decision over Frank Martellotti.  Perrelli played a key role in Cornell’s National Duals championship.  He set the tone in the finals against Virginia Tech with a thrilling overtime triumph over Jarrod Garnett, who had defeated Perrelli in Las Vegas weeks earlier. Perrelli went on to win nine straight matches and earn First Team All-Ivy honors.  In early March, he defeated Penn’s Mark Rappo for the second time of the season to capture the EIWA championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, where he went 1-2 with a first round win over Trent Sprenkle of North Dakota State.

2009-10: One of the top backups at any position in the country, Perrelli notched an impressive 21-5 record at 125 pounds as a backup to four-time All-American Troy Nickerson. He won the 55kg weight class at University Nationals in the offseason and captured the title at 125 pounds at the New York State Championships and Cornell’s Body Bar Invitational. He also placed fifth at the Las Vegas Invitational. With Nickerson out due to injury, Perrelli was ranked No. 1 in the EIWA at his weight heading into dual meet season.

2008-09: Perrelli earned a 9-3 record for the Big Red in his second season. He opened with a perfect 5-0 record at the Brute Binghamton Open to capture the title at 125 pounds. Perrelli followed with a seventh place finish at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.

2007-08: Perrelli compiled a 16-13 overall record as a rookie. He opened his collegiate career placing fifth at the Brute Binghamton Open, and he took third at the Nittany Lion Open at 125 pounds. Perrelli also wrestled for Cornell at the Body Bar Invitational, Reno Tournament of Champions and Southern Scuffle. With a 4-1 record at the New York State Championships, Perrelli placed third.
