Biography

As a senior (2012)
Cawley hit .260 with seven doubles, two home runs, 12 RBI and 17 runs scored as the team’s starting first baseman in 2012. She appeared in 43 contests with 34 starts and recorded six multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 day with two RBI in a win at Liberty. She slammed a three-run homer at Brown and went yard in a win over Dartmouth. She was 5-for-10 with three RBI in four contests against Columbia. Cawley posted a .980 fielding percentage at first.

As a junior (2011)
In her first season as a starter, Cawley batted .250 with four doubles, a triple and a home run while driving in 12 runs and scoring 13. She saw action in 32 contests with 29 starts. Cawley had five multi-hit games, including a 2-for-2 performance with a double, home run and six RBI against Princeton. She also was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI at Liberty and had a pair of hits in games at Harvard and Columbia.

As a sophomore (2010)
One of the team's top reserves, Cawley played in 40 contests with 14 starts while playing first base, shortstop, several outfield positions and as a pinch-runner. She ended the year batting a strong .302 with four doubles, a triple, a home run and 10 RBI in just 53 at bats. Cawley had a pair of hits against Bucknell and was 2-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored in a win over Ithaca. She also slammed a three-run homer, the first of her career, against the Bombers in game two of the doubleheader.

As a freshman (2009)
Cawley batted .222 with 10 runs scored, a triple and four RBI as a freshman in 2009, seeing action in 27 games. She was penciled in the starting lineup 14 times, playing at both shortstop and in the outfield. Cawley was 2-for-3 with a run scored vs. Rider and had a triple and two RBI against Ithaca College. She committed just two errors in 33 chances, good for a .939 fielding percentage. Cawley was successful in three sacrifice attempts and also had a sacrifice fly.

At the Hun School
Cawley was a four-time letter winner and starter in softball at the Hun School, and was a four-time first-team all-Mid Atlantic Prep League honoree. A 2007 scholar athlete, she was also first-team all-state and first-team all star ledger all four seasons. Cawley also won four letters in basketball as a shooting guard and forward.

Personal
Morgan Elise Cawley is the daughter of Michael and Nancy Cawley. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
