Prior to Cornell
Bookbinder was a three-year member of the Cazenovia track team, and she was a competitive equestrian. She also served as the community service chair of her National Honor Society.

Lauren C. Bookbinder is the daugther of Patricia Bookbinder and has a younger brother. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
