Biography
At Cornell:
A two-time first-team All-CSFL performer, Dentes could be the premier quarterback in the league. He led the Big Red in both passing and total offense in both 2006 and 2007. As a junior, Dentes had 141 rushing yards and 891 passing yards, completing 67-of-113 passes. And in his sophomore season, he had 188 rushing yards and 845 passing yards. Dentes is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
At Ithaca:
A tri-sport athlete at Ithaca HS, Dentes lettered in baseball, wrestling and football, and served as captain of all three squads his senior year. He received all-STAC honors in football and an all-section nod in wrestling.
Personal:
Zacharias G. Dentes is the son of George and Elsie Dentes, who are both Cornell graduates. He has one older sister, Tessia, who is a 2005 graduate of Cornell, and one older brother, Scott, who is a 2007 graduate of Cornell.
