Biography
At Cornell:
Malleo saw starting time on both the offense and defense for the Big Red in 2007 and earned honorable mention All-CSFL recognition. He was second on the team in rushing with 236 net yards and led the team in scoring with seven touchdowns. Malleo also had one pass attempt and completion for 19 yards, 20 receptions for 253 yards (74 long), one punt return (20 yards), seven solo and four assists for a total of 11 tackles, two tackles for a loss, one sack and one fumble recovery. He led the team in kickoff returns with nine for 176 yards (33 long). Malleo is enrolled in the School of Hotel Administration.
At Wall:
A two-sport athlete at Wall HS, Malleo excelled at both football and tennis. He was a two-time captain of the football team that twice won the state championship, and he was awarded first-team all-state, All-Shore and All-Maple League honors. Malleo holds the school career record for interceptions with 14. A three-year starter in tennis, he qualified twice for the state tournament in first doubles and was a runner-up at that position once. In addition to his athletic achievements, Malleo assisted in forming the Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization at Wall HS, and he received All-Christian America honors.

Matthew R. Malleo is the son of Michelangelo and Elizabeth Malleo, and he has an older brother and one sister.
