Biography
At Cornell:
Parke, returning for a fourth season, has started at the middle linebacker position since he transferred to Cornell as a sophomore. He is a three-time All-CSFL performer and is the heart of the defensive unit. The past two seasons, he has been named a co-recipient of the team's Lt. Donald Frank Sussman MVP award. He led the Big Red in tackles in 2008 (41 solo and 23 assists for a total of 64), 2007 (18 solo and 24 assists for a total of 42), and 2006 (28 solo and 16 assists for a total of 44). To go along with his tackles, Parke had 10.5 tackles for a loss, including 3.5 sacks, in 2008. He also had 9.5 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble in 2007. His 2006 stats included 7.5 tackles for a loss, three sacks, two broken-up passes, one fumble recovery and three forced fumbles. In addition to his athletic achievements in 2006, Parke was also honored as a member of Cornell’s 400 club for achieving at least a 4.0 grade point average. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
At East Brunswick:
Captain of the 2004 Central Jersey state championship football team at East Brunswick HS, Parke also received all-county, all-area and all-state honors. He served as captain of the school’s wrestling team which was both district and county champions. And, as well as winning varsity letters in both those sports, Parke was a two-time lacrosse letter winner.

John C. Parke is the son of John and Patricia Parke and has one older sister.
