Gengel's Top Performances
Pole Vault 13' 3 1/2"
At Cornell
Gengel is among the nation's top pole vaulters and continues to re-write the Cornell record books in her event after an incredible junior season. She currently holds all pole vault records for the Big Red. Indoors, she finished third at the Heptagonals and has a best of 12'9 1/2". Outdoors, in her first competition of the season as a junior, she captured first place at the Northridge Invitational, qualifying for the NCAA East Regional in the process. At the Outdoor Heptagonal Championship, she captured her second Ivy League crown and shattered the existing all-time league best by vaulting 13'3 1/2". She qualified for both the ECAC meet and the NCAA regional meet and continues to excel in the top ranks of United States vaulters.

At Princeton
Gengel was the state champion in the pole vault both indoors and outdoors in 2006 and finished fourth at the Nike HS Indoor Nationals that same year. She finished eighth at the outdoor nationals in 2005 and was 12th in 2006. She was also a two-time Princeton Packet Female Track Athlete of the Year.

Personal
Natalie Kay Gengel is the daughter of Kim and Gerhard (II) Gengel and has a younger sister and a younger brother. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
