Biography

At Cornell:

One of the Ivy League’s dominant sprinters, Nsor had a fabulous sophomore campaign. Indoors, she finished fourth in the Heptagonals at 60m and qualified for the ECAC Championships. She currently is third all-time for the Big Red at the indoor short sprint event. Outdoors, she was an Ivy League champion, running an outstanding lead-off leg on the first place 4x100m relay and garnering first team All-Ivy status. An ECAC and NCAA regional qualifier, Nsor should once again be a dominant force in the Heptagonals in 2008 in the short sprint area. A veteran of four Ivy League championship teams, Janice also is on the board of the Cornell Nigerian Students Association and hopes to pursue graduate studies in medicine. At John F. Kennedy: Nsor was one of the top sprinters in California as a senior at John F. Kennedy HS. She had personal bests of 11.73 in the 100 and 25.12 for 200 meters. She was the Orange County champion and anchored her 4x100 relay team to a fifth-place finish at the state championship. Nsor qualified for the CIF finals in track, anchoring her team’s 4x100 relay team to a fifth place finish. She is the Orange County record holder at 100 meters and holds her school’s sprint records. Personal: Janice Marong Nsor is the daughter of Chris and Grace Nsor and has two sisters and a brother.
