At Cornell
Rhinehardt really came into her own in 2009. Only a Heps competitor in 2008, she became a Heps scorer in 2009, finishing sixth at the indoor Heps and posting a personal best of 51'5" last year in the 20-lb. weight. She has worked extremely hard in learning the weight and hammer, and a lot more is expected from her in 2010. Look for Rhinehardt to continue to improve and be a contender for a Heps title in 2010 in the 20-lb weight. Outdoors, she still has a ways to go with her technique but she has shown brief flashes of the thrower she could be. If she can put it together, she could also be a force in the hammer.
At T. Wingate Academy
Rhinehardt was her school’s top shot and discus thrower her senior year, helping the team to back-to-back state championships. A two-time all-conference selection, she also won the league crown in the discus as a senior and was a three-time team captain. Rhinehardt also played volleyball for two seasons.
