Dunston was a two-time member of the 400 club as a freshman and was a first-year polo player.

At Phillips Exeter Academy, Dunston was head of his chess club and on the honor roll.

David Robert Dunston is the son of Steven and Sandra Dunston and has a brother. Majoring in chemistry, he is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
