At Cornell
Williams was the Big Red’s top short hurdle talent in 2009. He ran a personal best 8.30 for 60m hurdles, sixth all-time at Cornell, and was the team’s top finisher at the Indoor Heptagonals, finishing fourth in his specialty event to lead all team hurdlers indoors. His outdoor season started out well, as he ran 14.68 for the 110m hurdles, the 10th best all-time mark at Cornell. Williams also anchored the 4x100m relay early in the year. Late season injuries ended his season, but returning healthy in 2010 could make him the Ivy League's best hurdle talent.
Before Cornell
Williams served as team captain, running track for two seasons. He also played basketball for two seasons.
Personal
Olamide Francis Williams is the son of Cornelius and Taiwo Williams and has two younger sisters. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
