At Cornell
Nick Campbell will return for one last season, and this year, he has the honor of being team captain.
He currently holds Cornell’s top mark in the 200 individual medley (1:48.39) and was a member of the 200 medley relay team that also owns the top time (1:28.75).
Both records were set at last year’s Ivy League championships.
Campbell also has the third best time in Big Red history in the 100 backstroke (49.66), 200 backstroke (1:46.55), and 100 breaststroke (55.00).
He returns as the leader of the roster in the 50 freestyle (20.22).
Last summer, Campell qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials, where he finished 57th overall in the 200 individual medley.
At Northgate
As well as his swimming accolades at Northgate HS, Campbell also won his school's most improved award in water polo in 2007. In swimming , he served as his team's captain in 2006, receiving the squad's MVP award that same year, while earning the most dedicated award in 2005. Campbell was the NCS champion in the 200 inidividual medley and 400 free relay.
Personal
Nick Campbell is the son of Robert and Elizabeth Campell, and he has one brother. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
