Biography
At Cornell
After missing her sophomore and junior seasons to injury, Brosy was named team captain in 2009 in large part due to her dedication to her teammates and the program. She will be expected to provide leadership in the gymnasium this season. As a freshman, Brosy was a regular in the vault lineup with a personal best of 9.55. At the end of 2007, the team selected her as a co-winner of the Karen Walsh Award for physical and mental toughness. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences.
In Secondary School
A graduate of Earl Wooster HS, Brosy was a level 10 regional competitor. In high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, was senior class vice-president and received her International Baccalaureate Diploma. Brosy was also Nevada’s top high school youth volunteer, awarded by Prudential.
Personal
Erin Aleksandra Brosy is the daughter of Paul and Lynn Brosy and has one older sister.
