2010-11 Gymnastics Roster
Biography
At Cornell
Leung did not see any varsity competition as a junior in 2010, but provided significant leadership. She started on a pair of events as a sophomore, contributing as a major player on vault and beam. She was a consistent scorer on vault throughout 2009, scoring at least a 9.450 in each meet and recording a season-best 9.775 in the team finals at the USAG Collegiate Nationals, helping the Big Red to its first-ever team championship. Leung opened four meets in the beam lineup as well. She was an all-around performer for Cornell as a freshman, posting steady and consistent scores throughout the season on all four events. Her 9.750 score on vault was one of the top five scores for the Big Red in 2008. She will again challenge her teammates on all four events in 2010. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Human Ecology.
In Secondary School
A graduate of Washington HS, Leung competed as a junior elite as well as a level 10 regional and national competitor and was a two-time member of the TOPS national team.
