Biography

At Cornell
The defending USAG national champion and Ivy Classic champ on vault, Santoro is a three-year starter on both floor and vault. She finished second in vault at the ECAC Championship, one of 10 vaults that were scored at 9.7 or higher during the 2009-10 campaign. Santoro had six vault scores of 9.600 or better during her sophomore year, including in five of her final six meets. She posted a season-best 9.800 on vault in the team finals of the USAG Collegiate Nationals, helping the Big Red to its first-ever team title. On floor, Santoro scored a 9.650 or better in four of her final five meets with a season-best 9.800 at the ECAC championships. As a freshman, her 9.825 on vault ranked second on the team and third on the school’s all-time list. She is enrolled in Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences.

In Secondary School
A graduate of St. Rose HS, Santoro was a level 10 regional and national qualifier, and placed in the top 20 at the high school national gymnastics championship.

Personal
Emily Patricia Santoro is the daughter of Vincent and Stephanie Santoro and has an older sister and a younger brother.
