Senior (2010)
Mackintosh will serve as a tri-captain for the upcoming 2010 season.
Junior (2009)
As a junior, Mackintosh was able to fully concentrate on being a defensive back after spending his first two seasons splitting duty between playing defense and serving as the team’s punter. As a result, he earned a second-team All-CSFL selection. Mackintosh finished the year ranked third in the CSFL with three interceptions and was the league leader in pass deflections with five. He also ranked fourth on the team with 31 total tackles, registering 1.5 tackles for a loss of 12 yards. He tallied one sack and recovered one fumble.
Sophomore (2008)
Mackintosh punted 14 times for the Big Red as a sophomore, accumulating 357 yards (25.5 yards per punt). He boasted a long of 39 yards at Princeton and had one punt fair caught against Penn. He also played in three games at defensive back, registering four tackles and breaking-up one pass.
Freshman (2007)
Mackintosh played in all six games as rookie, splitting time between defensive back and punter. On the defense, he registered eight total tackles, including one for a loss of three yards. He also handled all of the punting duties for the Big Red, booting the ball 38 times for a total of 1,200 yards (31.6 yards per punt). He registered a long of 54 yards at Princeton. Mackintosh also placed seven punts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line, had five punts fair caught, booted three punts more than 50 yards and put two punts into the endzone for a touchback. He also kicked off three times for 100 yards (33.3 per kick).
Twice, he was twice named CSFL Special Teams Player of the Week.
At Peru
A versatile and talented athlete, Mackintosh is a graduate of Peru Central School. He played football, basketball and baseball all four years in high school, and won varsity letters in all sports. In football, he won all conference honors as both a defensive back and as a kicker, and he was the New York state class B scholar athlete of the year and was a New York state regionals defensive player of the game. Mackintosh also won all-conference honors in basketball.
Personal
John Paul Mackintosh is the son of John and Ann Mackintosh and he has two older sisters. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
