Biography

At Cornell
2009-10:
McDonald went 12-9 with six bonus wins as a junior, competing in four tournaments for the Big Red. McDonald opened the year with a pair of wins at the Binghamton Open and also claimed a pair of victories at the Body Bar Invite and three more victories at the Penn State Open.

2007-08: McDonald opened his collegiate career with a 2-2 record at the Brute Binghamton Open, where he picked up a win by fall and a major decision. With a 4-2 record at the Body Bar Invitational, McDonald placed fourth at 174 pounds. At the Nittany Lion Open, McDonald placed sixth with a 6-2 mark. He also wrestled for Cornell at the Reno Tournament of Champions and New York State Championships. McDonald won five of his matches by major decision, three by fall, and two by technical fall.

Prior to Cornell
A six-time letter winner, McDonald is a two-time state champion at 152 pounds. He is a four-time IAC league champion and was the state runner-up his senior year at 171 pounds. McDonald served as team captain his senior year and was an all-region team honoree. At Waverly HS, he was also a three-time letter winner in football, receiving first-team all-region honors each season. McDonald also was a five-time letter winner in baseball, and was named all-region three times. A member of the National Honor Society, he was also a Jr. Rotarian and Mark Twain Scholar.
 
Personal
Colin Matthew McDonald is the son of Michael and Karen McDonald. He is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
