2009-10 Women's Squash Roster
Biography
At Cornell:
After competing for the Big Red in the No. 1 and 2 positions last year where she was always competitive, Rebecca Hazell was voted her team's MVP. A motivated athlete who never gives up, she finished the year with a CSA ranking of No. 25. Hazell is looking to up her game this season and turn some of last year's narrow losses into wins for the Big Red.
Prior to Cornell:
Hazell is a junior transfer from Queen’s University in Canada. In her sophomore year at Queen’s she led the varsity squash team to its first Ontario University Association Finals title in ten years and placed second at the Canadian University Individual Finals. Hazell was also a member of Queen’s field hockey team. In 2007, she was a member of the Canadian Winter Games winning team.
Personal:
Rebecca D. Hazell is the daughter of Cindy and Rich Hazell and, she has two older brothers. She is an art history major in Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences.
