2009-10 Men's Track and Field Roster
Biography
At Cornell
Coming to Cornell with only modest high school credentials (9:53.75 for 3,200), Frost-Tift has quietly and doggedly worked his way up to the level of an IC4A qualifier in track. In cross-country, he began showing his propensity for dramatically elevating his game on race day and running with a gutsy determination. But it is in the long track races where Frost-Tift has blossomed as a rhythm runner, contesting the 10k three times during the 2008 season and lowering his PR by over a minute from the previous year in winning the Big Red Invitational with an IC4A-qualifying 30:59.14. At the IC4A meet, he placed a respectable 14th.
At Averill Park
Frost-Tift sported a best high school time of 9:53.75 for 3,200 meters and enjoyed competing in numerous road races and trail runs.
Personal
Joel Arthur Frost-Tift is the son of Tom Tift and Sue Frost and has a younger brother. His father ran cross country at Cal-Berkeley in the late 1970s. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
