At Cornell
Silverstrim made some significant improvements in 2008 in his technique and performances.  Damian was able to add two feet to weight best and over 10 feet to his hammer in 2008. He was a IC4A qualifier for both the weight and hammer as well as a Heps finalists in the weight.  Indoors Silverstrim improved his PR in the weight to 57’ 4 at the Deneault Invitational and outdoors he ended his season with a PR throw of 176’2 at the IC4A’s. Look for Damian to be one of the leaders in the weight group this year as he will be Cornell’s best returning hammer throwers. With some continued improvement he over 60’ in the weight and 200’ with the hammer in 2010.

Before Cornell
Silverstrim was an excellent all-around athlete at Amity as he was all-state in both football and track. He was the outdoor state champion in the discus and was a Nike Indoor scorer in the weight where he threw over 60 feet.

Personal
Damian Silverstrim is the son of Christine Silverstrim. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
