As a Senior (2012-13)
Dishong wrapped up her Cornell career in strong fashion, competing for the team at the NCAA East Regional in Greensboro, N.C., and setting a personal record of 13' 1 1/4" in the pole vault. She placed 18th and just missed a spot at the national championship meet. Earlier in the season, the senior captain placed seventh a tthe Indoor Heps, fourth at the Indoor ECACs to score four points, seventh at the College pole vault in the Penn Relays and second at the Outdoor Heps to score seven points.
As a Junior (2011-12)
Dishong had a terrific junior season, scoring a point for Cornell at the Indoor Heps with a pole vault clear of 12' 1 1/2" for sixth place and a number that is fourth-best in school history. She was 16th at the Indoor ECAC Championships. Switching to the discus outdoors, sheher best performance of the season at the Penn Relays. There she threw the discus 142' and took 13th in the college competition. At the Outdoor Heptagonal Championships, Dishong finished eighth in the discus with a throw of 133' 11", and her pole vault earned her a seventh-place score. At the Outdoor ECAC Championships, Dishong reached 12' 3/4" for an 11th-place showing. After her success all season, Dishong earned a spot in the NCAA East Regional and placed 41st in a competitive field. During the year, she reached 12' 7 1/2", a number that has her in second all-time at Cornell.
As a Sophomore (2010-11)
Dishong continued to improve and put up a new personal record in the pole vault with a height of 12’ 1 ¼” (3.70m). In the discus, she competed well at a very competitive Heptagonal/Ivy League Championship, making the finals and finishing just shy of sixth place.
As a Freshman (2009-10)
Dishong had an excellent start to her college career. She placed fifth in the discus with a throw of 140’7” (42.85m) and sixth in the pole vault with a height of 11’7 ¾” (3.55m) at the Outdoor Heptagonal/Ivy League Championships. She also put up marks in the discus and pole vault to place her on the Top Ten All Time Performance list at Cornell.
Before Cornell
Dishong was a six-time team most valuable performer and won six sectional championships. She earned All-Greater Rochester honors five times and was all-county in each of her four years of school. Dishong also served as captain for her final three years of high school, while also competing as a diver on the swimming and diving team for four seasons.

Personal
Claire Marie Dishong is the daughter of Roger and Kathryn Dishong and has a younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
