Biography
At Cornell
Davidson spent his final three seasons rowing with the first varsity eight. As a senior, he helped Cornell defeat Princeton by .3 seconds to win the Platt Cup for the first time since 2007. Davidson ‘s varsity eight boat took fifth at the 2012 IRA National Championship, after a fourth place finish in 2011. Following his sophomore season, he participated in the University of Washington development camp. Davidson finished second in the B final of the lightweight men’s pair for an eighth-place finish overall at the 2009 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Racice, Czech Republic.
At Garfield HS
Davidson lettered four times at Garfield high school and rowed for three years with the Mt. Baker Crew Club and one year with the Lake Union Crew Club. He won the gold medal in the lightweight-4 at the 2008 USRowing Nationals, after taking fourth in varsity-8 at the 2007 USRowing Youth Nationals. In 2006 and 2007, Davidson helped the lightweight-8 to a sixth and seventh place finish, respectively, at the Youth Nationals.
Personal
Thomas Ross Davidson is the son of Michael and Susan Davidson and he has one younger brother. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
