2010-11 Men's Rowing - Lightweight Roster
Biography
At Cornell
McManus rowed with the varsity-8 during the 2010 season. He earned his first varsity letter following the 2009 season. He is an athlete whose strength-to-weight ratio is off the charts and he will be someone to watch in his final season.
At Malvern Preparatory School
McManus lettered twice at Malvern Prep, serving as team captain in his junior and senior seasons. He helped his team to a gold medal at the SRAA Nationals, as well as a gold medal at the Stotesbury Regatta. During McManus’ junior year, he rowed to an undefeated season in the lightweight pair.
Personal
Matthew Andrew McManus is the son of Mark and Regina McManus and he has one older sister and one younger sister and brother. His sister Kristen plays field hockey for Fairfield University. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
