Biography

At Cornell
A member of the Friedman Strength and Conditioning Center Wall of Honor, Massey was a three-time letter winner, rowing in every varsity race during his final three seasons. He was also an integral part of the freshman eight that won the bronze medal at the 2010 Eastern Sprints. Massey also represented the United States in the men’s quad at both the 2011 and 2012 Under 23 Rowing World Championship. In 2011, he helped the US to a fourth place finish, which was the best ever for the US in that event.

At Wellesley HS
Massey earned three varsity letters at Wellesley high school. He won two gold medals at the NEMA Regional Championships in 2009, after taking a silver medal at the Youth National Championship that same year. In 2008, Massey earned a gold medal at the NEMA Regional Championships, a silver and a bronze medal at the US Club Nationals, as well as a bronze medal at the Canadian Henley Regatta. He also won a bronze medal at the US Club Nationals in 2007. Massey was chosen to participate in the Junior National Team Selection camp. He also lettered twice in skiing.

Personal
Christopher Keenan Massey is the son of Mark and Sarah Massey. His father attended Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. His brother Jeff rowed on the Big Red heavyweight crew team, while his sister Meg played basketball at Mount Holyoke. His cousin Wes Piermarini represented the US in the double sculls at the 2008 Olympics and his cousin Hayden Mulligan rows for Yale. Massey is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
