Biography

At Cornell
The 2012 team captain earned her first USAG All-America honor, earning second-team honors on vault after posting a 9.750. She was a full-time starter on vault and also competed on bars and floor. She was a starter on each of those three events in 2011 as well, finishing in the top 10 on vault at the Ivy Classic. She posted career-high scores on vault (9.775) and floor (9.750) at the Towson Invitational. Hein was a regular in the lineup on vault, bars and floor as a freshman in 2009-10. She posted career-best scores of 9.750 on bars, 9.7 on vault and 9.675 on floor.

Prior to Cornell
A graduate of Pine-Richland HS, she was a two-time level 10 regional competitor, who also has national level experience. She was a state and regional bar and all around champion and was on the 2006 and 2009 WPIAL champion gymnastics team. During all four years of high school. Hein was on the highest honor roll and was a member of the National Honors Society.

Sarah Jane Hein is the daughter of Doug and Jane Hein and has a twin sister, a younger sister and brother.
