Senior Season - 2010
Hayes served as one of three captains for the Big Red on the year, and made 12 appearances on the season, starting 11 of those times. She finished the season with eight shots, two of them on goal, from her position as an outside back.

Junior Season - 2009
Hayes served as a co-captain as a junior and appeared in all 15 games on the season for the Big Red. She started all 15 matches on the season, recording five shots from her position at left back.

Sophomore Season - 2008
Hayes recovered from knee surgery to make 14 appearances for the Big Red, starting all 14 games she appeared in. She made her Cornell debut in the season-opening win against Oakland on Sept. 5. Hayes missed only the Oct. 4 game against Penn after being issued a red card on Sept. 28 at Colgate.

Freshman Season - 2007
Hayes earned a spot on the roster during preseason tryouts, but suffered an injury shortly afterward and did not appear as a freshman.

Before Cornell
Hayes was selected to the New Jersey B North All-Star Team and was the team most valuable player at Middletown South HS. She also led her club team to the New Jersey State Cup Championship in 2007. Hayes earned three letters in soccer and picked up another six in track and field at Middletown South.

Personal
Katherine Elizabeth Hayes is the daughter of Bruce and Sharon Hayes and has a younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
