Biography

Senior Season - 2010
Russomagno closed out her career by appearing in 14 of the Big Red's games as a senior, earning five starts including each of the final four contests of the season. Injuries limited her time on the season, but she still provided leadership as one of two seniors on a young squad.

Junior Season - 2009
Russomagno served as team captain for the Big Red as a junior, appearing in all 15 of the team's matches and starting 14. She scored her lone goal of the season at the penalty spot on Oct. 2 at Penn in the Big Red's 2-1 defeat to the Quakers. The goal was the first of the nine career goals she has scored against an Ivy League opponent.

Sophomore Season - 2008
Russomagno finished as the Big Red's leading scorer for the second straight season, scoring twice and adding a team-best five assists for nine points. She started in all 15 of the Big Red's games, and had three multi-point games on the year. Russomagno opened her season with a two-goal outburst against Oakland on Sept. 5, her only two goals of the year. She then tallied an assist on both goals in the Big Red's 3-2 loss to Colgate on Sept. 28 and picked up another two assists in the 3-2 loss to Dartmouth on Nov. 8.

Freshman Season - 2007
Russomagno was named the team's most valuable player as a freshman in addition to earning Honorable Mention All-Ivy League honors. She appeared in all 16 games, starting 12 times, and led the Big Red in scoring with 14 points. She scored her first career point in the win against Hartford on Sept. 7, tallying an assist on Natalie Zandt's goal, then tallied a hat trick in the 3-2 victory against Lafayette on Sept. 16. Russomagno had a stretch of four consecutive games with a goal, spanning from Sept. 9 against St. Bonaventure through Sept. 21 against Niagara. Over that span, she had six goals and 11 points.

Before Cornell
Russomagno was a two-time all-state and three-time all-league player at Archmere Academy, where she was a four-year starter. Russomagno was a three-time all-conference honoree.

Personal
Lena Russomagno is the daughter of Vincent and Kristine Russomagno and she has a younger brother. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
