Career Stats

At Cornell
Junior (2010):
Amiraian was off to an All-Ivy start before suffering an injury, but still managed to hit .400 in 29 contest, including 27 starts. She scored 21 runs and drove in nine while posting a .432 on-base percentage, good for second on the team. Amiraian had 10 multi-hit games, including a career-best 3-for-3 contest against Columbia. Her first career home run was a big one, going 2-for-2 with three RBI and a third-inning bomb that provided the winning margin in the decisive game three of the Ivy League playoff series.

Sophomore (2009):
Amiraian hit .250 with two doubles, a triple and 16 runs scored as a spot starter and key pinch-runner and pinch-hitter. Overall, she appeared in 45 contests with 25 starts, going 20-for-80 at the plate. She had three multi-hit games, including a 2-for-2 effort with three runs scored and was hit by a pitch against Siena and a pair of 2-for-4 games vs. Rhode Island and Wisconsin-Green Bay. Amiraian stole a pair of bases on the season and drove in four total runs. She also posted a .960 fielding percentage with one error in 25 chances while primarily playing in the outfield.

Freshman (2008): Amiraian started nine games and appeared in 23 during her freshman campaign at Cornell. On March 16, she picked up her first collegiate hit against Stetson, and the following day, scored two runs, including the game-winner, in a 19-0 victory over Iona. For the season, Amiraian recorded five hits, seven runs and five base on balls.

Prior to Cornell

A three-time letter winner, Amiraian was named to the New York State HS all-star second-team her senior year. She was a two-time Section II first-team all-star member, and was named to three of her local newspapers’ all- star teams. Amiraian was named Shaker HS’s best all-around athlete her senior year, and ender her high school career with an overall batting average of .458. She played three seasons with the Adirondack Magic travel softball team, where she helped them to a fourth place finish at the WFA National Championships in 2006. In 2005, her team placed fourth at the FAST National Championships. Amiraian was also a four-time letter winner in soccer, and earned three letters in basketball. She served as captain for her soccer team her senior year. A member of the National Honor Society, Amiraian was an Albany Times Union Scholar Athlete Finalist. She also received the Shaker HS Female Scholar Athlete Award.

Personal
Marissa Elizabeth Amiraian is the daughter of David and Donna Amiraian, and has an older sister, Dana, that graduated from Cornell in 2008. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
