Freshman Season - 2010
Esber made 10 appearances off the bench for the Big Red in her first season, recording three shots in those contests. She made her collegiate debut on Sept. 3 against Delaware, then saw significant time two days later in the victory agains Delaware State. Esber played in a pair of Ivy League games, seeing time against both Penn and Dartmouth at home.

Before Cornell
Esber, who played club soccer with the California Stars of the Cal South Premier League, was a two-time all-league honoree in high school, serving as team captain twice and earning team most valuable player honors. She was also named the school's Female Athlete of the Year and the Scholar Athlete of the Year in helping her team to the CIF semifinals. Esber also served as captain of the California Stars for five seasons, winning multiple tournaments over that span.

Personal
Alyssa Aida Esber is the daughter of Elias Esber and Harlynn Ramsey and has an older brother and an older sister. She is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
