Senior Season - 2010
Brody's senior season saw him take a reserve role with the Big Red, making a pair of starts on the season and going 0-2 for the year. He made his season debut on Oct. 30 against Princeton, stopping three of the four shots he faced in a 1-0 loss, then started the Senior Night contest against Dartmouth, again making three saves on four shots in a 1-0 loss to the Big Green. Brody closed out his career with an 8-12-3 record and three shutouts, and is ranked tied for ninth all-time at Cornell with his eight career wins.
Junior Season - 2009
Brody had a strong season in net for the Big Red, earning the start 12 times and posting a 5-2-3 record with a pair of shutouts. He picked up his first clean sheet of the year in the second match of the season, a 1-0 victory at Hartwick, and then earned his second when the Big Red blanked Fairleigh Dickinson, 1-0. Brody made a season-high nine saves in the Big Red's 1-1 draw against nationally ranked Harvard and had another eight in the victory against Hartwick.
Sophomore Season - 2008
Brody made nine appearances for the Big Red, starting all nine times. He posted a 2.27 goals-against average for the year to go along with a .636 save percentage. He earned the victory in Cornell's 2-1 win over Lafayette on Sept. 21. Brody posted a career-best seven saves in his final appearance of the year on Oct. 18 against Yale.
Freshman Season - 2007
Brody appeared in three games as a freshman for the Big Red, making his collegiate debut against Harvard on Oct. 6. He earned his first collegiate start on Nov. 7 against Hartwick, picking up the shutout victory in the 1-0 Cornell win. He then started the final home game of the season, collecting his second victory of the year with a 3-2 overtime win over Columbia on Nov. 10. Brody finished the season with a 0.90 goals-against average and a .778 save percentage, stopping seven of the nine shots he faced on the year.
At J.P. Stevens
A second-team all-state honoree as a senior, Brody was also named first-team all-county and all-division in addition to being a Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee. He was a three-year starter on the varsity squad at J.P. Stevens HS, and was named the team’s defensive MVP in leading them to the finals of the county tournament for the first time in school history before going on to play in the SCANJ Senior Showcase. Brody played his club soccer with the Ironbound Warriors, which won the 2006 US Club Soccer National Championship. Brody attended the 2006 Cornell Soccer Academy.
Personal
Scott C. Brody is the son of Steven and Cindy Brody, and he has an older sister. He is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
