As a Junior (2011-12)
Johnson scored a point for Cornell at the Indoor  Heps, placing sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 38' 9 1/2". She followed that with a 15th-place showing at the Indoor ECACs, jumping 38' 5". At the Eastern triple jump event of the Penn Relays, she placed 12th while jumping 37' 11 1/2", and she just missed scoring at the Outdoor Heps with a seventh-place jump of 38' 3 1/2".

At Cornell
Savannah has been a competitor on the 2010 and 2011 Cornell heps team, a 2011 ECAC outdoor triple and long jump qualifier and is No. 9 all time outdoor for triple jump.

Before Cornell
Johnson was a two-time most valuable player and track team captain at Tahoma and set five school records (long jump, triple jump, 200m, 4x200m, 4x100m). She led her track team to four straight undefeated seasons and league championships and placed at the Washington state 4A track meet 2006-2009. She was awarded most valuable track female athlete in the for the SPSL league. Johnson was also the most valuable player and team captain for the Tahoma's varsity soccer team. Her team won the SPSL league title two years in a row and she was awarded SPSL first team honor two years in a row. Johnson also played basketball for Tahoma for three years. Savannah was Tahoma's female athlete of the year in 2009 and was voted most spirited of her class.

Personal
Savannah Star Johnson is the daughter of Alan and Sherri Johnson and is the proud sister of Wyatt Johnson. Savannah is a student in CALS.
