Parker finished the one mile run at the Indoor Heps in sixth place, scoring a point for the Big Red. The next week, after earning the ninth and final qualifying spot for the mile finals at the ECAC Indoors, Parker shot up the ranks and took second place to score eight points for Cornell. In the outdoor season, Parker took fifth in the Outdoor Heps, and she ended her Big Red career with a 19th-place showing at the Outdoor ECACs. Her time of 4:21.89 in the 1500 outdoors is now the fifth-best mark in Cornell history.
As a Junior (2010-11)
Parker continued to improve after a breakthrough cross country season. She set personal records in the 1000m and 1600m indoors as well as in the 800m and 1500m outdoors. At Indoor Heps she was a surprise fastest qualifier in the mile, before taking fifth in the final. She also anchored the 4x800m relay to take fifth with a split of 2.10. She continued to do well at the Indoor ECAC Championships the following weekend, running the mile leg of the distance medley relay in 4:48, which placed first. She continued on to win the 1000m race the same day in 2:49.16, the ninth-quickest time in Heps history. These accomplishments granted her HepsTrack Female Athlete of the Week. Outdoors, Parker consistently got faster in her 1500m and 800m races. She set a personal best in the 800, 2:08, as well as a personal best in the 1500, 4:25.25. Parker advanced to the preliminary round of the NCAA Championships in Bloomington, Ind., and missed qualifying for the next round by one place.
As A Sophomore (2010-09)
Parker had a very good sophomore year, improving considerably throughout the season. After earning All-East honors as part of the Big Red’s 4X800 relay team at the indoor ECACs, she continued to set personal bests outdoors and proved to be a very valuable part of the deep women’s middle distance group.
Before Cornell
Parker was a first-team All-Shore selection in cross country and was a five-time Central New Jersey Group IV state champion in track and field, earning three titles in the spring and two indoors. She also served as captain for both the cross country and indoor track squads.
