Biography
Bresky on Chiba: Silvio comes to us from UC Santa Cruz where he played high in the lineup. He will bring a very strong work ethic to our team, as well as playing experience on one of the top DIII teams in the nation. He will be an excellent role model for our younger players and will fight for a spot in the starting line-up.
Prior to Cornell
Chiba was a member of the 2009 NCAA Division II national championship University of California at Santa Cruz men’s tennis team and helped the Banana Slugs to the 2010 indoor national team championship. Chiba played four years at Northwood high school.
Personal
Silvio Yojiro Chiba is the son of Brenda McCausland. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
