Bailey rowed for four years at Hopewell Valley Central high school, serving her team both as a rower and a coxswain. She was captain during the 2009-10 season and won her team’s Most Dedicated Rower award as a junior.

Emily Elizabeth Bailey is the daughter of Jeff and Jaqueline Bailey and has a younger brother and a younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
