Biography
At Cornell
As a junior, Hardy rowed in the second varsity eight that won the Cornell Trophy for the first time since 2006 at the 2013 EARC Sprints. Hardy rowed as a member of the third varsity eight during his sophomore season, helping the crew to win a gold medal at the 2012 EARC Sprints. During the regular season, the third varsity eight earned victories over Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Yale and Dartmouth. Hardy became just the second freshmen ever to make the Friedman Strength and Conditioning Wall of Honor in 2011, which is an indicator of fitness and raw power.
At Pine Crest School
Hardy was a three-time letter winner at Pine Crest high school, rowing rowed starboard and port. He served as team captain for the 2009-10 season.
Personal
Nathan Ellis Hardy is the son of Reginald and Diane Hardy and he has an older brother, Adam, who played baseball at Swarthmore College from 2008-12. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
