As a Junior (2012-13)
Airewele had another very strong year in her junior campaign, running for Cornell and scoring points in multiple important events. She was on Cornell's winning 4x440 yard relay at the Indoor Heps while also scoring six points by placing third in the 200 and 400 at that competition. Airewele was on Cornell relay teams in the 4x100 and 4x400 at Penn Relays, and she finished her Ivy League year by appearing in four events at the Outdoor Heps. She placed second in the 400, seventh in the 200 and helped Cornell to second-place finishes in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
She also helped the Big Red score four points in the 4x400 relay at the Outdoor ECAC Championship by placing fifth. She lowered her personal record in the 400 by more than two seconds from her sophomore year and also set new PRs indoors in the 60 and the 300.
At the end of the year, Airewele was named a team captain for the 2013-14 season. At the team's year-end banquet, Airewele was given the Hank Russell Award for being the team's best sprinter,
As a Sophomore (2011-12)
Airewele continued to succeed in her second year on campus, placing fourth at the Indoor Heps with a time of 25.11 in the 200. Also at Indoor Heps, she was part of the winning 4x400 relay team. She took part in the Penn Relays in the 4x400, finishing third in her heat. As the outdoor season came to a close, she finished third in the 200 at Outdoor Heps, was part of the winning 4x400 team and the second-place 4x100 team. She also helped score points for the Big Red at the Outdoor ECACs and made it to the NCAA East Regionals as part of the 4x400 team. Her time of 24.29 in the 200 outdoors is now the fourth-best time in school history. She was named the Hank Russell Award Winner as Cornell's best sprinter.
As a Freshman (2010-11)
Though Airewele came in as a short sprinter, her duties evolved into long sprinter throughout her successful freshman campaign. At the indoor Heptagonal Championships, she ran on the 4x400 team, which placed second. She also ran the 200-meter race and took seventh. At the Outdoor Heptagonal Championships, Airewele competed on the third-place 4x100 team and the fourth-place 4x400 team. At the conclusion of the season, she won the team's Freshman of the Year award with Lauren Lloyd.
Before Cornell
Airewele competed on the Little Red track and field teams for four years, winning Rookie of the Year as a freshman and earning MVP honors all four seasons. She was captain of the team her senior year, went to states as a junior and senior and was a sectional champion in her events her junior and senior years.
Personal
Ebolutalese Ibisewa Airewele is the daughter of Aloja and Peyi Airewele. She has one younger brother, Oseoba, and younger sister, Yolore.
