As a Senior (2013-14)Bush had ended her Big Red career with another fine season in the high jump. She took home 1
st place at the Robert J. Kane Invitational. She equaled her career best clearance of 5’ 7” in a 3
rd place finish at the Deneault Memorial, qualifying her for the Indoor ECAC’s. She finished 8
th in her final Indoor Heps. Her best clearance of the outdoor season came at the Bison Outdoor Classic, where she marked a 5’ 5” to finish 4
th. She added 1
st place showings at the Miami Invitational and the Cornell Outdoor Invitational. She concluded her career at the Outdoor Heps, finishing in 8
th place.
As a Junior (2012-13)Bush high jumped for her school at the Indoor and Outdoor Heps during her junior season. Indoors, she cleared 5' 5" to score .33 points for Cornell by tying for sixth place. Outdoors, she was over 5' 3" for a 15th-place showing. She equalled her personal best of 5' 7" at the Upstate Challenge in January.
As a Sophomore (2011-12)Bush took part in the high jump and the triple jump at the 2012 Indoor Heps, placing eighth (5' 4 1/2") and ninth (36' 9 3/4"), respectively. She also participated in the Penn Relays, finishing 20th with a high jump of 5' 3". Her indoor best jump of the year, at 5' 7", is tied for the eighth-best mark in school history.
As a Freshman (2010-11)As a freshman, Bush proved to the Big Red field that she has great potential to be an all-around excellent jumper. Beginning at the Penn State’s Sykes-Sabock Challenge Cup, she demonstrated her efforts to the team by scoring a 37-6 in the triple jump. During the outdoor season at the Cornell Spring Invitational, Bush scored in the high jump (5-3), triple jump (37-09.25), and the long jump (18-00.5). She expects to vastly improve in all the jumps throughout her coming years at Cornell.
Before CornellBush was a four-time regional and two-time Texas state qualifier in the high jump, jumping a best of 5-6. She placed fourth in the high jump at the 2008 USATF National Junior Olympics, 10th in the triple jump at the 2009 USATF National Junior Olympics (38-4), and qualified for the 2009 World Youth Track & Field Trials. She was a multi-talented track athlete competing in high jump, long jump, triple jump, 300m hurdles, 100m hurdles, 1600m relay, and the heptathlon.
PersonalJennifer Bush is the daughter of David Bush and Ellen Eastham, and has two sisters, Jessica and Mackenzie. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
