As a Senior (2013-14)McCollin continued to play a significant role in the Big Red’s sprints during his final season. He posted a 2
nd place finish in the 200 at the Cornell Southern Tier Collegiate Open. He hit his stride in the 60 towards the end of the indoor season. He posted a 2
nd place finish at the Bomber Invitational, while he secured another 2
nd place finish with a career best time of 6.82 at the Deneault Memorial. He concluded his indoor career with a 5
th place showing in the 60 at the Indoor Heps. Outdoors, he participated in the 100, 200, and was an integral part of the 4x1 relay team. Similarly to the indoor season, McCollin saved his best performances until late in the season. He scorched the track as the Big Red 4x1 took 1
st place at the Penn Relays. He had an impressive final season at the Outdoor Heps. He again helped the Big Red take 1
st place in the 4x1, while he set new career records in both the 100 (21.28) and 200 (10.71). He marked a 5
th place finish in the 200, while he scored a 3
rd place finish in the 100. He concluded his outdoor career at the NCAA East Prelims, where he helped the 4x1 team finish 17
th.
As a Junior (2012-13)McCollin set personal bests in the 100, 300 and 400 during his junior year. He competed at the Indoor IC4As in the 4x400 relay for Cornell, helping the team to an eighth-place showing. He also ran the 200 at that event, taking 40th place as an individual. He finished his year by running at the Outdoor IC4As in the 100, taking 34th place in 11.14.
As a Sophomore (2011-12)McCollin ran in the Outdoor Heps, missing the finals of the 100 and 200 by narrow margins. But in running the first leg of Cornell's 4x100 relay, McCollin helped the team win the Ivy League championship and 10 big points.
As a Freshman (2010-11)As a freshman, McCollin had all of the guidance and motivation to perform at his best. He is the holder of the freshman indoor 300m record, and briefly held the freshman 200m record before it was bested by a teammate. By the end of his sophomore year he hopes to make a few breakthroughs in the All-Time top 10 lists.
Before CornellMcCollin was a high school All-American and state record holder in the sprint medley relay and 1600 meter relay. He was undefeated in the 100m and 200m dash in Orange County and Section IX.
